A joint meeting of the NC central committee and parliamentary party held Tuesday concluded that a NC-led unity government should be formed before May 27, the final date for promulgation of the new constitution.
The meeting also entrusted the party leadership for taking initiative to form the NC-led government and hold discussions with other parties to materialize the party’s claim for leading the next government.
After the meeting, NC General Secretary Krishna Sitaula said the meeting stood firm on federating the country based on identity and viability.
Sitaula said NC would not quit its bottom line of making lesser number of provinces based on identity and viability.
The meeting shall continue to discuss the issues of state restructuring and form of governance– the thorniest issues in the constitution writing process. RSS
