WB EXTENDS RS 3.2B IN GRANTS, LOAN



Kathmandu, May 17: The World Bank has decided to extend grants and loans worth Rs 3.2 billion for the Rural Access Improvement and Decentralization Project.

An agreement to this effect was signed between Finance Secretary rameshwore Khanal and Nepal Director of Worl Bank Susan G Goldmark today.

The assistance will be used for reconstruction and upgrading of roads in 40 different districts and to build 10 bridges. The project that phases out in 2013 aims at increasing rural people’s access to social and economic opportunities. RSS
