Surkhet (Khajura), May 28: The score of youths leaving for India from various districts of mid-Western region due to poverty and unemployment is increasing day by day.

Youths of mid-Western region, who have cherished their dream to get good opportunity with big change in the country following the elections to Constituent Assembly (CA), have started going India to eke out living saying that the country’s situation will further worsen with non-promulgation of constitution.

‘I had thought to get opportunity to work in my own country after I came back to Nepal in CA elections after working for eight years in Simla’, said Sammar Bahadur BK, a local of Jajarkot, adding that, ‘Now I am compelled to go back to India for work with no constitution making is likely even after two years set for this purpose’.

Ashok Rawat, a resident of Betan VDC of Surkhet, has stayed in Nepal with hope that all will get employment within the country following new change yielded by the CA polls, but his optimism no more sustained when drafting of new constitution is unlikely even after the timeframe set for this is expiring.

Alleging the political parties of being failure to promulgate a new constitution in the country in the stipulated time due to the prevalence of political bickering, around 500 youths of various districts of mid-Western region being disappointed with the situation of the country are moving to India every day.
