Dhangadhi, May 31: Locals of Dhangadhi municipality-5, Taranagar have put their collective efforts in the campaign of making their ward area neat and clean.

The ward residents came up with this campaign since the area saw rampant increase of garbage, excessive use of plastics and incidents of thefts in the night time.

The locals, who brought their collective efforts in the campaign of turning their ward neat and clean by declaring the area plastic free zone around two months ago, have also conducted training to manufacture hand bag of clothes and paper to replace the use of plastic bag.

Under the campaign, the villagers have arranged two security guards in the night time for the security of ward with the help from police.

The campaign that has been started from 200 households of the area will gradually be expanded in all wards of municipality, informed Chairperson of Taranagar Tole and Management Group Maya Prasad Bhatta. RSS
