Dr YADAV’S ADVISOR RULES OUT PRESIDENT’S RULE

Dang, May 19: There won’t be any presidential rule in the country even after May 28 when the CA term expires, said Rajendra Dahal, the Press Advisor to President Dr Ram Baran Yadav.

The Interim Constitution has not granted any executive right to the president, so there is no legal and constitutional way to impose presidential rule, he said at an interaction on ‘Looming Political Crisis, Way Out and Media’ organised in Ghorahi, Dang, today.

The current political crisis is the result of conflict among political parties, he said, adding that there is no alternative to political unity for peace and constitution.

Accusing the three main parties of holding the Constituent Assembly hostage, Dahal urged the parties to move ahead through consensus politics. RSS
