CIVIL SOCIETY LEADERS DIVIDED OVER CA TERM EXTENSION
Lalitpur, May 27: Civil society leaders have said that there is no alternative to CA term extension.
Leader of civil society Daman Nath Dhungana said unconstitutional force could come into power in the country if the CA term was not extended.
He also suggested the political parties to extend the CA tenure by withdrawing their pre-conditions.
Another civil society leader Padma Ratna Tuladhar said that the CA term can be extended if the people want.
Chairman of INSEC Subodh Raj Pyakurel hinted at foreign intervention if the country’s internal problems were not resolved within the country itself.
However, chairman of PAPAD Prof. Rameshwor Upadhyay said CA term should not be extended terming it a mere staging of drama. RSS
