FIRST MID-WESTERN RING ROAD SOON

Dang, March 10: Dang will soon boast the first ring road of the Mid-Western Region if the construction plan goes well.

The 34-kilometre-long road will connect 10 wards of Tulsipur Municipality out of 11. The municipality has a preliminary prediction that Rs. 370 million will be required to construct the ring road, said Bharat Kumar Sharma, Executive Officer, Tulsipur Municipality.

He said Rural Infrastructure Development Consultancy, Kathmandu, has bagged the contract and feasibility study of the construction was already over. "The study conducted by the consultancy shows that the ring road will touch all wards of the municipality except Ward No. 7," he said.

The ring road, starting from Rajapur at Ward No. 4, will pass through Peace Garden at Ward No. 3, Rapti Eye Hospital at Ward 2, Sirkulo at Ward 1, Dandakhuri at Ward 10, Galaura at Ward 6 and linked with the starting point.

Once the ring road comes into operation, agricultural products produced in these wards will get access to market. RSS
